Procell Microchanneling Contraindications
and After Treatment Care
Clients will not be permitted to use our Infrared Sauna before OR after their Microchanneling Treatment
Procell Microchanneling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses microfilaments (tiny hair-like needles) to stimulate collagen production. Combined with Procell’s professional-grade serums rich in growth-factor serums, microchanneling improves skin texture, reduces fine lines, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation, and promotes a smoother, more youthful appearance with little to no downtime.
Microchanneling Treatment Contraindications:
• Unregulated Diabetes (Microchanneling only)
• Pregnancy (Peels and Microchanneling only)
• Aloe Vera and/or Steel allergy (Microchanneling only)
• Sunburned, broken, or irritated skin, including eczema, psoriasis, rash, or any type of
dermatitis
• Facial Waxing with 5 days
• Use of Glycolic Acid products, Retin-A or Renova™ in the last 4 weeks
• Use of retinol within the last 5 days
• Use of Accutane within the last 12 months
• Taking antibiotics
• Peels within 8 weeks (Peel only)
• Current bacterial, fungal, and/or viral infection
• Sauna use before your treatment
• Injectables (i.e. Botox and fillers) within the past two weeks
• Blood thinner within the past 7 days
Dermaplaning Post-Treatment Care
Immediate Post Care Instructions:
• Skin may feel wind-burned or tight for a day or two after treatment
• You may experience dryness and peeling for a day or two after treatment
• DO NOT apply anything to the treated area for 90 minutes after your treatment unless it is provided to you by your Esthetician. This includes makeup. (Microchanneling Only)
• DO NOT touch treated areas with your hands, cellphone, or any other foreign objects for 90 minutes after your treatment is finished. (Microchanneling Only)
• Avoid direct sunlight for 48 hours post-treatment. You may apply sunscreen 90 minutes after your treatment is finished.
• Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and other activities that can cause excessive sweating for 48 hours after treatment.
1 - 5 Days Post Treatment:
• Waxing or use of depilatories in the area treated
• Any facial exfoliants, peels, or retinol based products
• Submerging treated areas in chlorinated pool water
• Hot water on the treated area, only use warm water
10-14 Days Post Treatment:
• Injectables such as Botox and fillers
• Extended periods of direct sunlight and/or tanning beds, use a minimum of SPF 30 when outdoors
• Laser hair reduction treatments
